John Buhler, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

John Buhler has been with Vail Resorts since 1994, when he moved his family to Breckenridge and began his tenure as the Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard School Manager. In 2000, he was promoted to Director of Ski School, followed by Director of Skier Services in 2007. In 2010, John made the move to Keystone to serve as General Manager for the resort and then Chief Operating Officer in 2013. John returned to Breck in 2015, to take on his current role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Breckenridge Ski Resort. John's passion for the ski industry has always inspired him toward excellence. John does not like coffee but he does love Dr. Pepper.

 

Clare Lehman, Vice President of Hospitality Operations 

Clare Lehman is currently the Vice President of Hospitality for Keystone Resort, leading the teams who operate all resort owned & managed lodging, golf courses, off mountain food and beverage, stables and conference center.  She has been in the service industry her entire life, having grown up working in the family restaurant that has been in business since 1934. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, she spent time managing in the family business before pursuing her lifelong goal to live in the mountains. She has worked for Keystone Resort since 2003, holding positions of Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Senior Property Manager, Assistant General Manager and Director of Property Management prior to becoming Vice President of Hospitality for Keystone in 2018.  In her spare time, Clare can be found enjoying the outdoors of Colorado with her husband and kids, or traveling to spend time with friends and family.

 

 

Leo "Lee" Hoover, Director of Regional Retail Operations

Lee Hoover, Regional Director of Retail Operations, started with Vail Resorts in 2008 at Beaver Creek Mountain. He has spent his career at Vail Resorts leading retail teams and operations in many resorts: Beaver Creek, Aspen, Telluride, Crested Butte and now Breckenridge and Keystone as well. Lee's passion is leadership and leadership development of his team, along with enjoying all the latest and greatest gear. Lee is passionate about the snow sport industry and sharing our resort experience with others to continue the longevity of our industry and the mountain experience.

  

Jon Copeland, Senior Director of Mountain Operations

 Jon began his career with Vail Resorts in 2012 when Kirkwood Resort was acquired. He has held virtually every position within a Ski School in his 28 years of experience in the industry as well as oversight and involvement in summer operations, retail & rental, cross country skiing, tickets & passes and guest services. Jon also ran his own Fly Fishing Guide service for 12 years and is passionate about biking, camping and fly fishing.

 

 

Roger Cardoza, Senior Director of Food & Beverage

Roger Cardoza first joined Vail Resorts in 2003, as the Financial Analyst supporting Vail & Beaver Creek Mountain Dining. In 2006, he expanded his scope of responsibility to become the Sr. Financial Analyst supporting Private Clubs, Golf Operations in Eagle County, and VRDC, in addition to Mountain Dining. After a brief departure from the Company in 2010 to explore other opportunities, Roger returned to Vail Mountain as the Sr. General Manager of Mid-Vail Restaurants, Express Lift Bar, and Waffle Way. In 2017, he was promoted to Director of Mountain Dining at Northstar California Resort. Returning to Colorado in 2019, Roger is ready to take on his new role as Sr. Director of Food & Beverage for Breckenridge Ski Resort. He is a passionate Denver Broncos fan, enjoys the outdoors, and traveling the world.

 

 

 

Kevin Stickelman, Senior Director of Skier Services

 Kevin Stickelman joined Breckenridge this year as the senior director of skier services where he leads the skier services and guest services teams.  He brings over 24 years of ski industry experience to the role and has worked at several other ski areas across the Western US during his career.  Kevin got his start skiing in the Midwest at Snow Creek Ski Area and eventually joined the volunteer ski patrol there before moving to Park City in 1999.  Kevin is passionate about skiing and stays busy with other outdoor activities when the snow melts in the spring.

 

Dan Vasti, Director of Product Sales and Services

This is Dan Vasti's 23rd season with Vail Resorts and in Breckenridge. He has spent his career working in both skier services and hospitality. As the Director of Product Sales and Services at Breckenridge, Dan oversees the resort's Ticket and Ski School sales locations and the mountain information team. Dan's connection to the resort is centered around the experience his team gets to provide for guests, and the impact they can have on a guest’s vacation. Dan is originally from Montauk, NY, a seasonal resort town just like Breckenridge; whenever possible he watches the Yanks, Giants, Rangers, and unfortunately, the Knicks.  

 

Trevor Maring, Director of Base Area Operations

Trevor began his career at Vail Resorts and Breckenridge in 2012, working in the Parking department.  In his time at Breckenridge, Trevor has held the roles of Parking Lead, Base Area Operations Manager for the Shipping & Receiving and Employee Center departments and Senior Manager of Fleet Maintenance.  He originally joined us from Minnesota, where he received a degree from the University of Minnesota in Kinesiology.  Trevor is an avid Minnesota sports fan and he is passionate about traveling the world and enjoying all hobbies Summit County has to offer with his wife Katy.

 

Jim Testin, Director of Mountain Planning

Jim Testin is the Director of Mountain Planning, overseeing all on-mountain planning and design for Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts. His work focuses on securing project approvals from the U.S. Forest Service and local municipalities, as well as coordination and implementation of all resort upgrades. Jim has been with the Company since March 2018 and has lived in Summit County since 2004.

 

 

Sara Lococo, Senior Manager of Communications

Sara Lococo is the Senior Communications Manager at Breckenridge. She has been with Vail Resorts since 2011, and during her time with the Company has held roles in the communications department at Vail, Beaver Creek and Keystone, in addition to Breck. She is passionate about snowboarding and began her career in the ski industry as a snow reporter at Okemo during the 2008-09 season.

 

Jennifer Schweitzer, Human Resources Business Partner

Jen Schweitzer started with Vail Resorts in 2014 and has worked in the Human Resources department at Breckenridge supporting the Mountain, Hospitality and Retail divisions. Jen’s experience prior to joining Vail Resorts was in operations and Human Resources for various Marriott hotels. She is passionate about improving the employee experience. Jen is an avid podcast listener and a mediocre curler.
